Hi all,

I finally have got IDL 5.6 installed on our SUN machine. I am trying to
compile the 'h5_wrappers.so' library, but there are many problems during
the linking process:

=======================================================================

cc -xarch=v9b -xchip=ultra3 -I/opt/local/include/sparcv9 -I/opt/local/rsi/idl_5.6/external -c h5_read.c
cc -xarch=v9b -xchip=ultra3 -I/opt/local/include/sparcv9 -I/opt/local/rsi/idl_5.6/external -c h5_file_interface.c
cc -xarch=v9b -xchip=ultra3 -I/opt/local/include/sparcv9 -I/opt/local/rsi/idl_5.6/external -c h5_wrappers.c
cc -o h5_wrappers.so -xarch=v9b -xchip=ultra3 -R/opt/local/lib/sparcv9:/opt/gm/lib/sparcv9 h5_read.o h5_file_interface.o
h5_wrappers.o -L/opt/local/lib/sparcv9 -lhdf5

main /opt/SunONE/SUNWspro/prod/lib/v9/crt1.o
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to h5_wrappers.so
*** Error code 1

Attached is the Makefile.sun we are using.

Has anyone done this before (maybe the question is not pertinent)?

Thanks,
Claudio.
