Dear flash users,
I'm a bit stuck on the titled problem.
I found in the flash code a place to start, the grid.f90 and the associated amr and guardcell codes there.
But my question is, really, what is a tractable way of imposing/inserting a predefined grid such as generated by a tool like gridpro onto flash?
If I change grid.f90 to get input from the gridpro output (can be nastran, plot3d, starcd or grd (gridpro) formats, attached), I suspect that won't work, will it?
And I suspect that plot3d won't work either since all the plots I saw in the examples I ran were 2d ones. The sedov sphere should be 3d as well. But how to show it in idl?
Also the windtunnel could be 2d cylindrical, do the chkpoint or plt hdf5 outputs directly go to idl 2d plots?
Also to get a clearer picture I have tried to compile the grid related portion standalone.
I imagine that eventually I'd have to replace amr completely by a quadrilateral cell/block code but I need to clarify also on how to output to a tool like gridpro (the other direction) through hdf5 or directly. To achieve that I'm modifying output.f90 and plotfile.f90.
If there are grid experts in the user group pls give me some hints!
Much Appreciated!
Bst,
Victor
